EX30, Smart #1 and Zweekr X (not available here) are all the same car built in the same factory but, not heard of any issue’s with the other two.
As for prtnerships, there more common than we think .
Mercedes (Smart) partnershop with Volvo owners Geely.
BMW partnership with Brilliance. iX3 made in China and shipped to europe.
VW joint adventures in China, will build and ship the Cupra Taviscon to europe.
Renault partnership with Geely and S Korea.
