Yes it’s a hybrid system we are going for that’s why the large ASHP didn’t make sense. The hybrid ASHP keeps the combi for water and to step in with the radiators if the heat pump struggles on very cold days.
I’m trying to bring the wife along with me on this journey and she’s not keen on any changes, so keeping the combi as a backup is a way of keeping her happy. There’s nothing worse than the wife saying “I told you so”. Lol
