I called Motability the other day as our order window opens next month. The lady I spoke to was extremely helpful and I asked her to run through the list that they have of cars that Motability are in negotiations with manufacturers about possibly joining the scheme. The list was clearly out of date as almost all of the cars on it are already on the scheme. However, one that has yet to make the scheme, but is being discussed is the Lexus LBX. No use for us as far too small, but might interest some – if it appears. Health warning – cars are often on this list but never make the scheme – the Toyota Highlander was on this list the last time we changed but never made it.
I specifically asked if there was anything from Jaguar Land Rover on the list as this has been mentioned on this forum. There’s nothing. There are also no new BMWs on the list which surprised me as I expect the iX2 to join. However, as I say, the list seemed out of date. There were also errors on it as it said that the new Honda CR-V would not be coming to the scheme yet I notice that one model already has!
