The thing is with their estimates they are just that, they’ve clearly had a problem with the ports at both ends of the car’s journey and a problem with a lack of car transporters but from what I understand it’s not so much of a problem now.
jOhn, I ordered my car the first week of December so you’re in the same boat as me in that you will (should!) receive a MY24 version XC40 when it finally arrives. As the factory has closed, if that’s true, in preparation for the MY25 models then *all* MY24 vehicles of all XC40’s have to have been built by now by my reckoning so it ‘should” all be down to waiting for the cars to arrive at dealers.
Trouble is with the dealers, and I know some are worse than others, I don’t think they really know what’s going on and that Volvo keep them in the dark with very little information or updated being offered. It’s frustrating. Awaiting contact from my dealer today to try and confirm what’s happening. He’s been pretty good so far but seems to have as much information as we do. ☹️
