I’m not too keen on the cold either but can mostly manage at 15c wearing a good quality hoodie and compression gloves (Raynauds and a very temperature sensitive broken finger and knuckle!). I know I have more than enough in credit to cover turning it up but having been raised in the 60-70s when there was no real state handouts, rent or mortgage support and watching my widowed mother raise 4 boys on very little income has left a lasting impression. My own kids have no idea how bad it was at times, not able to afford coal for the fire or have money to put in the electricity meter, wearing hand-me-downs etc. But my mum always made sure we went to bed fed and loved, couldn’t ask for anything more than that.
Our back ground is very similar.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
