@Debs Has the dealer confirmed to you that the car definitely doesn’t have power fold mirrors as standard? BMW option pack descriptions can be misleading as, in some cases, they list items that are actually standard, or that are just slightly different. For example, the option pack states that it gives power fold mirrors with auto dimming. It may be the case that power fold mirrors are standard, but the option pack just adds the auto dimming feature. Power fold mirrors have been standard on most BMWs for years so it would be a massive retrograde step if they have removed them completely. Also, if they had I think they would have them as a stand alone option, as you won’t be alone in having to have them for parking. I’m not surprised that you preferred the drive of the iX1 over the Q4 and I agree with @Kezo that the interior of the Q4 doesn’t look up to usual Audi quality and IMHO the interior also looks a bit dated compared to the high tec iX1 (although I think I slightly prefer the Audi exterior), so whilst the Q4 could be an option for you, I’d make sure that the door mirror info is 100% correct before discounting the iX1.
Yes, I managed to find a car that was arriving in to stock in mid Dember, was all ready to go ahead. I had read all the specs and optional packs etc. I noticed the powered mirrors with auto dimming rear view mirror in the Tech Pack, and I thought this was just BMW upselling and the car would already have power folding mirrors.
Spoke to a local dealer and he confirmed it definitely does come with them.
Then I got a video from the supplying dealer and noticed there was no button to fold mirrors on the drivers door, just above the wing mirror adjustment buttons.
I fired off an email and just received the response, no power folding mirrors unless you upgrade to Tech pack at £1680.
So yes, it’s a definite NO
