I was in one of my local skoda dealers the other day and the guy I spoke to said he thought they’d cancel orders if they couldn’t be fully completed exactly as ordered and that they had done so in the past when another model changed. He didn’t think they could upgrade to the new model because of motability codes and recommended I wait a week and see what changes.
Of course that’s just one salesmans opinion but he claims it was based on specific similar past experience
