I think you would need to look closely at the Intelligent Octopus tariff. I haven’t gone on to it yet as the day time rate is quite high. I use the Tracker tariff which works well for us. But if you can shift your cooking and white goods to overnight, then that would make a difference.
Glad you’re considering an EV @Menorca Mike, personally, it works really well for me, retired, 8000 miles pa and longest drive is a round trip of 160 miles to Glasgow. Plenty of apps to help you plan and the few times I have wanted (not needed) to charge we have always got on to a charger.
