Why are you throwing your toys out of the pram over a 2 second 0-60 difference. My ZS is supposed to be about 8 seconds and that’s more than fast enough off the line to kill anything short of something extremely powerful off the line. Youight get overtaken a second or so later but that instant torque is brilliant. I really don’t get why someone obsessing about a pointless acceleration stay is for one interested in a huge SUV and secondly quite frankly 0-60 isn’t even on my radar as a disabled driver. Everyone’s different of course but comfort, be driving position, space, boot size, loading sill height etc way more important that 8 seconds Vs 6 seconds. I’ll even go do far as to suggest put you in 2 cars 8 seconds and 6 seconds and in isolation you’ll struggle to tell the difference. If it’s all about 0-60 for you I’d suggest going drag racing instead lol
Who’s throwing their toys out of them pram?
The Kia Sportage does it in 7.1 or 7.7 depending on the variant and thats not an EV and certainly not extremely powefull by any means.
I don’t think anybody is talking about drag racing in a straigh line, which yeh I agree a 1 lite Ford Fiesta would soon pass most EV’s but, totally irrelevant.
In an emergency situation, the torque and 0-60 times of a vehicle are not directly related to avoiding an accident. However, they can be important factors in determining how quickly a vehicle can accelerate and reach a safe speed to avoid an accident. They also play a role when joing fast moving traffic, exiting a busy junction or joining a roundabout along with overtaking.
