It’s honestly no harder generally that doing pay at the pump, it’s just new, different and “scary”. The only downside is the number of apps or RFID cards to use and that can be got around using contactless cards mostly.
Practice doing it a few times locally at the supermarket so when you need to charge on a long journey you know what you’re doing.
