Chatting with another patient in hospital today, some of the bus services are in chaos. Because the buses get caught up in the 20 mph traffic they are running even later than normal.
Now an hourly circular route is taking 10 to 20 minutes longer. People waiting at bus stops now have no idea if they have missed a bus, if it is running late or cancelled. Whilst before buses where scheduled to use certain stops and time slots in the bus stations, now they can literally all arrive at the same time, with some buses unable to unload because no bays are available.
Plus of course drivers rest breaks are all disrupted.
