We’ve had our MG HS Excite DCT almost 3 years now. In that time it’s only had a few minor issues. On one occasion the big display didn’t come on. I turned the car off and back on then it came on. Twice in the 3 years the car wouldn’t start but the ignition came on. Both times turning it off and back on worked. Main niggle is how often I have to clean the inside of the windscreen. It gets an oily coating on it which then means it fogs up really easily. No combination of ventilation, temperature or air con settings prevent it. When we first got it, it bonged all the time when the doors were open but they updated it free of charge when the update became available and that stopped it.
Despite these few things it’s still the best option for us on the scheme and we’ve just ordered the facelift version DCT Trophy this time. Very happy with our MG dealership, it’s just a shame they done offer a collection service for it when it needs servicing like other dealerships have done in the past.
