@Paul johnson Maybe you should qualify your statement Paul. Share your knowledge of the “Correctly driving such vehicles”

    1. Maintain very very steady brake and accelerator inputs, so not to confuse the the little brain of the AMT.

    2. Maintain an extremely steady right foot, whilst listening very very carefully to the engines power delivery. Ever so gently let the revs rise to predict the increase in revs. Now concentrate and keep your right foot light and steady and let the gears upshift – This will help to reduce the whiplashing AMT jerk and help fuel econmy.

    3. Do not drive  aggressively or in a sporty manner. Apart from increasing fuel consumption, the AMT won’t bode well and make for a uncomfortable ride.

    4. Plan your overtakes 6 miles in advance – Following the above, its vitally important that your engine is in the right revs  and the gearbox is in the correct gear. Failing to do this will ensure, midway through the overtake you will realise there’s not enough momentum  overtake and you will be forced to push down the go go pedal hard, thus causing the AMT to downshift abruptly, whilst at the same time head butting the windscreen.
