A defective control arm typically means there’s a bad ball joint or worn control arm bushings.
Whats interesting is you would almost definately feel the consequencies of these failing to some degree, such as – cluncking noises, steering wander, uneven tyre wear and vibrations. Yet the serverce dept, have not mentioned no signs of uneven tyre, or have you mentioned any of the above signs especially that of a failed ball joint clunking noise?
