Car is in for it’s MOT today. Just got the service report, unbeleivable ! Immediate Attention Near side front suspension arm ball joint worn – £138.30 Off side fromt suspension arm defective ??? – £305.16 Attention in near futore Off side front tyre 3mm 3mm 3mm – Well it is 3ys old with almost 16,000 miles on it Nearside front tyre 3mm 3mm 3mm ??? – This I doubt as it’s only 6 months old with no more than 2000 miles on it They want £231 each for the tyres !!!! Near side front shock absorber leaking – £174.18 So, for a 3yr old car that’s never been in an accident etc. it needs £1079 worth of parts???? Even taking the tyres out it’s still £617 ?
Is that with the main dealer? What’s the chances it would pass if you took it to a small independent MOT test station. I think the repair costs would certainly be cheaper.
