Kezo I’m fine with my old tv for now I really am my neighbours said what a lovely picture Kong v Godzilla was it suits me I have no light bleed blooming etc however I will always look out for a bargain and please let me know if you ever see a 48 or 50 inch bargain in the future ! Don’t buy a Range Rover poor reliability nieces neighbour just got rid of a year old valour nothing but trouble in and out the dealer !

Unfortunately all LCDs suffer a certain degree of backlight bleed because the opacity of LCD panels is not enough to block all light, allthough its only really visable on darker scenes where certain area’s of the screen look lighter than the rest (top & botton sides or corners mainly) Blooming is also a characteristic of LCD panels due to the inabilty to control individuals pixels, however its more noticeable on a set with full array local dimming especially if there’s not enough dimming zones. Motion, clouding and banding is another inherent characteristic of LCD panels.

These aren’t faults as its just the nature of LCD panels having the need for a backlight and unless you have ever had a Plasma or OLED or to some extent a CRT panel if everone existed in 4k youd except the picture as been pefecly exceptable and good quality, For example wmc has just renewed his 2016 Sony for the hisense and is impressed with the qled picture quality but, even that will have the same characteristics inherent on an LCD panel to a similar extent.

I’ll continue to look at 2022 models as 2023 year TV’s are introduced but what I’ll find different to already I don’t know within your budget 🙂
