Over the last 16000 miles my EV has averaged 3.2m/kw, at 34p/kw that’s just over 59mpg petrol equivalent with fuel at £1.41.9 (local Asda today).
The caveat is, as Rene rightly pointed out, that it all depends on your electricity tariff. I am not on a fancy low overnight rate, as I am still on a fixed deal at 17.4p (and my gas at 2.4p), so it would be economically crazy to leave that deal over winter when my gas bill is £300 a month already. It ends soon, so who knows what I will end up paying.
At my actual 17.4p ratre I am getting 116 mpg equivalent.
In winter its worse, in summer, better.
