Aberdeen to Gatwick, 68mpg from our 08 plate Grand Picasso 1.6 diesel auto, cruise set to 75. It would easily post over 70mpg on my run home from work if I stuck to 60mph. The newer 2015 model never achieved such high mileage despite claiming to be more efficient, just couldn’t get it over 58mpg & its average over 60,000 miles was 4mpg lower than the older one.
On petrol, drove sons Skoda Citigo to work for 6 weeks, averaged 52mpg at 70mph, it was lovely to drive if a bit small. Previous petrol was a 1998 V70 2.5, its best was 36mpg tootling about on empty D roads in France, its overall average was about 28-30 over the 150,000 miles & 9 years I owned it.
