I’m a Blyth lad and this was all a scam from the start majority of us local to it never thought it would happen.
It was nothing but a Tory vehicle to support and make it look like investment in the area was happening.
It was abundantly evident from the vet go that they didn’t have the capital or backing to make it happen then multiple CEOs were removed for varying issues as fraud in Sweden etc. They were spending millions a year in wages and luxuries like a mansion locally etc whilst constantly bemoaning everything.
Needless to say the Tories who were all over the photoshoots initially have distanced themselves.
I don’t blame the govt for not giving them a penny as some do it was almost like they knew it was going nowhere but kind of hoped they could string it along till the next election.
I have no doubt Blyth valley will be turning back labour, aside the national shambles the Tories haven’t delivered on a single thing promised for the region but hey at least the racists of the region got rid of the foreign nurses, drs, care assistants etc and we are all swimming in post brexit money.
