Thank you all for your responses – indeed stupid but i guess it is what it is!
I’ve no idea how good the standard sound system is on the Qashqai, but as a point of interest I added the Harman/kardon premium sound system to our BMW X1 (along with some other options) but BMW were unable to provide it due to a shortage. I have been pleasantly surprised at how good the standard sound system has been, so am now glad that we didn’t get it as it would have been an unnecessary expense!
