    When I handed my last car back the dealer decided the car was acceptable for GCB and updated the MB system while I was sitting there. No photos where taken. Just a checklist. MB didn’t do any checking or decision making. The GCB was paid into my bank within minutes of the dealer updating the system whilst I was still sitting with the dealer.

    There is no way that MB would not check a car that’s being return but alas, were all aware of the yarns our dealers tell us . ?Motability don’t personally send anyone out to check it but they do check it I’m sure. It is not the dealers decision on who gets the bonus, there job is just to report back to Motability who then decide. It’s that or I need to kiss my dealers backside when I return my car regardless of its condition. ?

    I’ve never returned a car that anyone could say is damaged beyond fair wear and tear so haven’t a clue under what circumstances they would not pay the bonus.
