I not saying it’s mb fault, but when stuff like this happens then, you get no help at all. Especilly with the long waits for cars right now it’s pretty bad imo and is something mb should look into imo.
They should have something in place for the interim. Their option right now is to remove you from the scheme until a car arrives, if your lease car is wriiten off or stolen and not recovered.
Before it wasn’t such a big issue, you could get hold of a car within a week, but as you know that ain’t really the case now.
What if you have bad credit for example or no savings and then you have to wait, without a car for so long or get something unsuitable on the scheme as a car is better than no car.
Think i heard somes one say the wait for a c5 was 6 months. Maybe mb could have a dept that contact’s the dealer/ manufacturers in these rare extreme cases and sorts something out quicker, it would be something at least.
It’s very different if you have car and have to wait, but in such extreme case’s, with such long waits maybe Mb should be considering other options in these extreme cases.
What would most of us do in this situation, which could happen to any one on the scheme at any time, you fall threw the cracks. One upside is in 6 months or a year you might not have a problem finding the AP. Many though wouldn’t be able to get out of the house, who reliant on a car.
I not saying for them to hire a car for the period but they could buy a next to new one and lease it to the person and i think that would be a better use of profits than giving it to other charities outside the scheme or projects they partnering in.
