VW put map updaes on their website every June & December, I use them to update my Seat Ateca (Seat were 18 months behind at one point!)

For the pre 2021 Ateca choose VW Golf 2017 onwards
There’s a file you need to copy from the original SD card and then replace the one that comes with the new map so it’s linked to your car, simple to do, guide is here, 3rd post down by user named Supra
