As others said, it’s a good looking car, but the asking price is way too high. Add to that the pretty predatory option list, and i don’t want one just out of principle.
A company that shifted 25.000 cars in total in 2021 isn’t in the position to shaft customers by asking £2600 for something reasonably basic as heated seats. I don’t mind paying for the privilege, we did so with our GTE order – but we paid £285 iirc.
Especially considering these “bundles” are just idiotic, you’re required to take a completely unrelated upgraded sound system if you want heated seats. I could understand the argument for the optional leather seats being required (they are), but adding another grand just to shift an option that almost certainly is going to delay delivery of your car (HK has trouble delivering and are a reason for lengthy delays in VWs etc).. nah.
Even better is the tech pack or whatever they call it, where they bundle front sensors with a 360 camera. If i have a 360 camera, i don’t need parking sensors anymore – they should very obviously be standard.
A much better equipped Ateca Xperience Lux is like £6000 cheaper, at roughly the same size.
edit: i don’t actually think it’s particularly pretty on 18″ wheels either, needs at least the 19″ wheels.
