Absolutely kes, as with everything in life one learns from experience. Glos Guy and mitch have gained knowledge through their own experience with motability and are able to pass that on in the hope we don’t make the same mistakes. That is what forums are for to share experience and knowledge.

We all want and need a car and sometimes the process of obtaining one through the PIP system is so personal and daunting that by the end of it most of us feel relieved that we can get a new car we wouldn’t normally be able to afford. When buying or ordering something, we all look at things in different ways and the GCB has been no different, causing customer confusion about when and how it’s paid.

Buying a used car is no different, a salesman will offer discounts and freebies but it doesn’t alter the true cost. We are getting swindled one way or another. I suppose the longer one is on the mobility scheme the more a person thinks about the cost to them over the years, and whether it has all been worth it.

In my case I admit, I got lucky with my motability car and managed to negotiate a free £999 waiver on the AP so for me, so far, it has been worth it. Anyway thanks to everyone for their input and if it can help anyone else reading this, then it will be job done.
