spoke to motability today about GCB/GCP and this is my take home message for my example:
Based on 5 year lease (ends Apr 2023), I will get £350 upfront in the coming weeks, and then the remainder £450 if the vehicle is given back at the end of the lease in good condition. This will be a total of £900 that would have been historically paid out after a 5 year lease ended with a vehicle being handed back in good condition.
Furthermore, moving forward, ALL new GCPs will be as follows: £200 for 3 year lease and £350 for 5 year lease.
Their rationale: The difference being paid out to us will go towards lowering the APs moving forward but they could not be sure when the the excess money would be used towards lowering the APs for future leases.
