    Thanks Alex for your input.

    Given your experience of losing the car I think it is extremely generous of you – most of what you have said rings true with my as yet limited ownership of car  – got car end of July.
    I had an x1 stolen in similar circumstances a few years back – car was recovered about 7 weeks later and there was no problem with Motability providing me with replacement until car was returned  – but not a nice experience – so have some empathy!

    I have yet to experience cold weather so cannot comment on heater – I have had a/c and cooled seats on initially – but my go to settings are eco with smart recuperation on – hardly ever use a/c now – have air cooled seats on and window cracked open – I have fitted wind deflectors.

    I do hope the car is back on the scheme soon and that you are able to acquire it – good luck ?
