I had a 3.4 fitted by Motability for my previous car – Prius phev – so when Motability fitted new 7.4 it was just a case of swopping out charger box and upgrading fuse box.
Even if I wanted 11 I don’t think I could have it – the houses in the avenue were built early 1950’s.
Also I do between 8k and 10k a year so charging over night isn’t an issue – or charging 3 consecutive nights at a low rate to 100%.
I would consider solar panels some time in the future if the price was right – not just for car but general backup.
I wonder how long it will be before there is the equivalent of a compact affordable car battery at the side of houses to store excess solar power – with a deal with electricity company for a push pull arrangement – if a majority of houses had one that would be a big power reserve.
