Just gone through an Asda order from February and compared a few items to todays prices. 6 Eggs £1.09 today £1.50 1 Pint milk 60p today 79p Rice £1.50 today £1.85 Sausages £1.50 today £2.25 Potatoes £1.18 today £1.49 How the f@@k can they say inflation is only 10%! People are going to die from cold and starvation this winter.

Politicians get away with spouting generalities to disguise individual impact, but the few indisputable examples of actual exorbitant price increases never get discussed or analysed. Interviewers have to get tough with these would be leaders and confront them with a short list of essentials (as you have done Jojoe) and demand proper answers.
Sadly it would probably still go something like this, ” Why have sausages increased in price by 50% in a few months?” …. “I’m glad you asked me that question, when I become PM I will push through a completion to Brexit which will mean we can make our own decisions going forward.”
