Tolls on motorways? In France, if you choose not to pay to use the (privately run) motorways, there are good alternative main road routes. In the UK motorways are integrated into the road network, not separate. I can see motorway tolls driving some motorists onto inadequate alternative routes to avoid paying and snarling up the road system. Surely best to introduce road pricing on all roads at the same time.
