Before you fit TRV’s you really need to balance the system to ensure all the radiators heat up the same amount when you first switch the heating on. Once you’ve achieved that, if a room is still cold, it probably needs a bigger radiator.
TRVs are less than £15 a go and our plumber took about three hours to fit or replace 10 of them and the lockshields.
