Current x1 owner
Design and looks i think are an improvement. This includes the interior which looks more modern. Its still visually recognisable as an x1 which is not a bad thing.
I am not sure how i feel about the removal of most of the buttons. Yes all manufacturers are including this in the design but i guess its hard to really know how user friendly it is until you have used it.
The idrive wheel i think was one of the best things about the current model as it was so easy to use and i could control most of the common features without being distracted from the road, this was very user friendly.
The big disappointment from the articles i have read are that features such as adaptive cruise control are an optional extra. In 2022 you would expect this to be added into the packages such the xline trim.
If this did become available (at a reasonable AP) I would seriously consider cancelling my current order which still has no build date or updates since October.
