It highlights the problem with ever changing APs and ridiculously long lead times.
The AP you pay is the one noted at the time of collection, not ordering.
In the days when APs would go down between order and collection, dealers would often honour the lower price. If not, it would usually be okay to cancel the order and re-order at the lower AP.

In your shoes, I’d probably grab it with both hands, but only you can decide whether it’s affordable.
Cancelling and starting again could lead to 6 month plus wait.
