Tharg, The fields of Athenry is my go to song if we go to a pub karaoke night and Carrickfergus (the water is wide) is another favourite. Both were sung last night as well as ‘Maggie’, ‘rare auld times’ and more were rolled out, lol. We’re lucky here as the neighbours are a good distance away so we can make as much “noise” as we like.

The weather here is mild and breezy today with occasional strong gusts, and prolonged sunshine. The view is an ever changing delight.

I’m just trying to persuade my adventurous daughter in law not to drive down to St Ives Cornwall for a spot of camping tomorrow, due to a red warning which she thinks is a minor inconvenience! She says she may well compromise and stop off at her Nan’s house which is in the first line between Brixham harbour and the breakwater. I’ve told her that’s the last place to park up during Storm Eunice and it’s aftermath, but she thinks I’m just an old “worrywart”.
