I am paying 12.4p per unit electric & just under 3p for gas on a fixed deal till summer 23. No cheap rate offpeak EV charging, but its offset by the overall low per unit price, so not too bad. I doubt I would save anything switching to Octopus Go – not that I could as I don’t have a smart meter.
We already had a very nice surprise when we were unlooped by the DNO in preparation for the charger install, as our electricity bill dropped £40 a month – yup, we were paying our neighbours as well as ourselves. So that’s £7500 overpaid since we moved here in 2005!
