    When my license was changed from an everyday license to one that had conditions of adaptions added to it the DVLA was fine with what my neurology consultant saying I was fine to drive with an adapted car.

    All was good until my own GP put a hold on it because DVLA said my license did not need changing other than from All Cars to Automatics only and I did not need to take any further test.

    Because DVLA like all government departments send out computerised letters or standard letters as they use to call them my GP took it that they were saying I could just carry on driving in any car, with or without adaptions.

    Lucky for myself this was a one off change over and don’t have to go through the doctors or DVLA medical department when updating my license now unless something changes but I’m sure at the best of times its a slow procedure to go through even without viruses.
