Ditch, IMO, until the vast majority of cars are autonomous the tech will be vulnerable to the numbties ie humans. We are unpredictable, where as tech is less so. Driving along any UK motorway shows the number of eratic drivers we have and these people will always be here taking risks, driving too quick, coming from a slip road to the fast lane in a 100 metres, I could go on.
When we have all cars talking to each other, slowing down or speeding up in a millisecond, allowing cars on slip roads to join safely, not breaking speed limits and actually complying with the rules of the road, then we will have safety at its finist.
The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.
