I’ve got just less than 9 months to make a decision on my next car. I would like to go EV as I find them interesting. I’m not against ICE at all but there’s just nothing out there that really interests me at the moment (not just on the scheme but on the market in general).
I don’t do a lot of miles and the current range on EV’s would probably suit me. The ID3 was top of my list but it’s not on the scheme at the moment. Plus I’ve heard some bad reviews.
I’d like to only have to charge once a week (once a fortnight would be better) and I’d have to be able to charge from home. I have a driveway so I hope that won’t be a problem.
I know people talk about making compromises but I don’t think you should have to compromise just to go electric.
Everyone has a car to make their lives easier and making compromises would make your life more difficult. It might not be a lot more difficult but for me, that’s not progress.
EV’s have a long way to go and I believe in the future they’ll be better than ICE cars have ever been unless another form technology is invented which is better than electric
