I also agree that the 5 seat version would be a very welcome addition in the U.K. Most of us would probably never use the 3rd row seats so would be carrying around unnecessary weight as well as the uneven boot floor issue. We found the boot in our standard Tiguan to be a bit too small for my wife’s wheelchair and I had to roll the rear seats forward slightly to ensure that the tailgate didn’t bounce back when closing. The BMW X1 that we replaced it with is much better and the wheelchair fits with room to spare even with the rear seats in their most reclined position.
Given the way that the Motability scheme is going, I could see the Allspace returning to the scheme with the lower powered engines only and possibly even just in the poor spec Life model. Not much chance of the 190PS engines in Elegance and R-Line trim I would think.
