It’s a peculiar thing. A couple of days ago I woke up really hungry after n days of being sick so I had a bijou amount of porridge for brekkie, a turkey bun (no salad, just white bun, a scrape of butter and 3 meat slices) for lunch, and then quarter of Bacon Quiche for dinner followed straight after by the other quarter because I couldn’t face anything else. When it all paid a return visit at 2am I lost everything but the quiche. Clearly my body needed whatever was in the quiche and simply dumped the rest.
Experimentation in what kicks things off* combined with a review of 6 months of what I thought was ‘rib pain’ caused by the mastectomy are suggesting I might have a stomach ulcer, which sounds melodramatic until I consider the amount of Ibuprofen I’ve taken over the last ten years.
Oh joy. Another attempt to speak with a GP awaits.
* Anything the least bit spicy or acidic, coffee and tea (both decaf), granary bread, tomatoes, orange juice, tropical squash, more than an ounce of cheese . . . Not bacon, interestingly. So it’s a nutritious Quiche and Bacon butty diet for me! And endless glasses of water. :-\
