Over the years I’ve always reported any damage to Motability as it occured – mostly trolley dents while parked. Then there’s no surprises when the car goes back. Fair wear and tear includes minor paintwork damage, bumper scuffs and wheel rim scars, so there’s no reason to be concerned about them. I was told by a dealer that up to three areas of other damage may be allowed.
