Probably have to lease. Buying would make too big a hole in pocket. Would like to have a decent BEV. Held back from committing to one because a) I can see on-the-go charging at public points becoming very fraught. There will just not be enough of them. A half-hour recharge will become a two-hour drudge as you wait for one to become clear. And b) don’t think the makers have got the electronics/digital stuff/ apps etc. sorted yet. Go look at ID3 forums and the like. Software glitches abound. Including driver “aids” which slam on brakes at 70mph on motorway when there is nothing in front. Will wait a bit more, I think. Be glad when they do get it together. Like the idea of an engine with just one moving part!
