I don’t agree that the dealerships will be at significant financial detriment, quite the opposite.
Sales are at an all time high, those Motability sales folk will easily have those orders filled by private customers. Certainly no sympathy for anyone here except the potential Motability customer whose needs may have been filled far sooner, and as a result of VW choosing to pander to private buyers they have suffered further with reduced mobility as a result.
It’s bordering on shameful, and frankly bad publicity that VAG have taken this blanket stance rather than keeping the countries most vulnerable mobile through the scheme. Many would have seen that as a positive move in these trying times.
