After my previous accident in 2006, woman shot out onto a roundabout without stopping and T-Boned the passenger side of the car, I eventually got to see a consultant, kept me waiting 40mins past the appointment time as he’d had to drop his kids off at school!. He was very dismissive that I actually had any physical damage.
I explained that I’d initially been referred to a physio who told me there definitly was. Again he was dismissive, I told him I was pretty sure that chap knew what he was talking about as was the physio for the County Durham Cricket Club 🙂
He asked me to remove my shirt and when he saw the nice “lump” I have sent me straight down to X-Ray. His conclusion was that surgery was the answer, with an 80/20 prognosis, 20% of making it better, 80% of making it worse!. Stranglely I told him not to bother himself any further.
Several cotrtizone injections into the rotator cuff later it worsened so now I’m stuck with it. Bad news is following the smash last June it’s my good shoulder that’s now damaged as well!.
Add to that some spatial awareness issues on the right side like hitting my hand on the side of the tumble dryer or washing maching “hole” when putting clothes in or the side of the cupboards when getting plates etc. out. Walking through an open doorway and banging my right shoulder and arm off the door frame, hitting the wrong keys while typing and having a memory like a fish I’m doing pretty well!!.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
