Excellent news. Will be interested to see your view of the car and it’s real life range later. A bargain at £1499. I expect the facelift model to be a bit pricier but nothing like the £4k we saw in q1.
the new model actually dropped in price a bit, and has a sunroof too. So hopefully won’t be more. The Soul AP dropped this quarter too, so fingers crossed for you. Re my AP, was even better at £387 as a War Pensioner. I think if you can have a home charger, you’d recoup the AP at £4K easily if you do 8k a year. I can’t have a home charger, but doing 20k a year, I worked it out that as long as I pay less than 49p kWh I’ll save money, that’s coming from a 52mpg diesel! The savings can be huge… as well as the feel good factor and at least making an effort to clean up the environment!
I did some calculations and prior to Covid typically covered, 15000 miles pa. On a full 3 year lease that would be around 6500 in fuel. Home charging on overnight tariffs would reduce that by 90%, so its a bit of a no brainer, as things currently stand. I will start looking properly in the autumn and set the various wheels in motion regarding a home charger, and probably a smart meter which I think I would need for an economy 7 tariff. It looks like you have achieved the WLTP range on your car 283.6 is pretty impressive and the key for me, and i guess many, is to make charging on the go virtually redundant.
