RPI vs CPI inflation the gap only gets bigger and bigger 1/4 by 1/4 and the tiny rise the pip allowance will get in 2021 is not keeping up with Ap’s also and there’s not much Mb can do about that at all..

I must say since i ordered my current car back in jan 2020 it has risen another £750

The price now is £2,349 and from late sept 2019 when i had the test drive it had risen £600 by jan 2020 so a £1,350 rise in all, from when it was £999 so it’s close to 133% more in ap and i would not be able to afford it now, thats for sure or justify that level of ap on a car i will never own.

I paid £1399 as i luckily got £200 off plus the £600 gcb or i would of had to cancel or ask for grant. It was the only car on my list in the end, that met all my needs and thats the thing, I could of got a seat which was cheaper but there no dealer near me for servicing etc. Another golf was just not an option then either. neither was keeping the current one as the seat was not the most comfortable and increased my pain, when driving more than 20 mins. So that all has to be taken into account by the grants team.

Maybe also they need to offset R&D on all the new technology, nothing is free, everything costs £££
