As an update, I’ve just contacted Motability and things seem to have changed. I am now told that the GCB will NOT be paid until vehicles are handed back to the dealership.
The GCB was being paid out on three years but now you have to wait until such a time as your new, replacement vehicle is ready to be handed over.
