Ajn, you make a good point. I am a natural cynic. My default position is to disbelieve anything I don’t understand and set out to look for empirical evidence so I can understand it. Often, I am led to the conclusion that widely held beliefs can be nothing more than blind faith. I have no problem with people trusting in faith if it works for them.
Having said that, faith in this government seems to me irrational and its mistakes are doing us unbelievable harm.
