I keep mine turned off then turn on into auto mode with the first few drops of rain then leave them till I complete my journey then turn them off again.
The reason I turn them off is because they seem to be a bit slow at starting sometimes and the compete off and on when needed seems to reset them.
The sensitivity I have on number 2 or 3 out of 4.
Although I drive with one hand I can reach the stalk for the wipers with my little finger from the steering ball remote control so just press down once to clear the odd splash.
Don’t have an intermittent timed wipe on my KIA that I know of only the auto or slow, fast continuous manual and one press down single wipe.
