Absolutely agree @Tharg and the car companies stance will always be that the driver has overall control and responsibility. And I also agree that it could be dangerous for exactly the same reasons.
As Mat says though, in the video, and even with systems out now (my last three cars have had limiters as part of the cruise control) they do have an override, if you floor the throttle, it immediately disengages. All systems do this
I find them pretty useful in areas I’m not familiar with.
